Today was a cloudy and cool Saturday in April. I’m dressed like it’s fall, but plaid is always in season to me! We were heading to a friends housewarming party and since I had all three by myself I kept it pretty low key. A different pair of distressed jeans, plaid shirt and tan booties. If I had my husbands help, I might have dressed up a little more. However, I did spend the majority of the time chasing around my 17 month old, feeding my 3 year old snack after snack and walking through mud and dirt to get to my 5 year old. So, the outfit held up just fine!

Tip: to add just a bit of fancy to an otherwise casual outfit, throw on booties or anything heeled. It will add just a bit more of a dressed up feel that you wouldn’t get with flats.
