Better than Spanx!?

I bought this skirt at a local boutique. I was really excited bc I’ve heard of the brand before, but never got to try it out!

The brand is, Commando, and it is a brand similar to Spanx. They make a lot of different clothing items, but in general they are there to make women look good in what they are wearing! At the store I was at they had this skirt and some of their leggings.

Ok, so I give this a 10/10! It really holds you in and is super flattering. I paired it with a girly sweater from Forever21, and I love this look!

A lot of pink and red going on here, I know! This is an older purchase (they still have in stock!) but I love this dress, I have it in two colors!

This dress is a midi length and a light velvet which makes it super comfortable and easy to wear. The neckline is also flattering. I have it in hot pink and a mint green. Those two colors are sold out but they have it in stock in a pretty lavender color.

Beautiful skirt/Amazon Pants

I found this maroon skirt at Target, and I absolutely love it. I bought it in the summer but I believe it’s still in stores, I can’t find it online unfortunately. It sits high on the waist with a big bow. It is super comfortable and great quality fabric! I paired it with a body suit from Target as well!

Below the skirt, I found a cute striped dress at Marshalls for a day in September that was in the 90s! I love this style of dress, they are comfortable and easy to wear.

Next up are these Amazon pants I see a few bloggers raving about! They are high waisted with a tie and will hit above your ankle. Perfect for work or if you want to go with pants instead of a dress or skirt for whatever occasion. I think the fabric feels a little cheap and the sizing is a little off. The small was too tight on me but the medium was a little baggy. Worth a try for the price! I have worn them to a morning work event for my husband when it was a little too cold out for a dress.

Windsor Midi Dress

Happy Weekend!

Last night we had a very special event for my husband’s work. He did a great job! The dress code was business attire. For me I wanted to look appropriate for the evening but business causal for me can still be fun! I found this dress at Windsor in the sale rack for 7.00 dollars! It was really comfortable and easy to wear. I added a belt and some pink heels from Target! Also, not pictured were some pink earrings that matched the shoes.

Next up was an outfit I wore out to a dinner with some friends. Something I really love are black jeans. They are a little bit more dressier than your normal blue jeans but are just as comfortable! I paired them with my Marc Fisher boots and an old blazer from Forever21.

And last! We lost power over the weekend and it was FREEZING in our home! I have some really expensive winter boots but I kept pulling out these Khombu boots out! I also got a lot of compliments on them outside of the house! I found these at TJ Maxx, but you can also look online for these boots. I think they compare to Sorels for half the price!

Happy New Year! I know for me personally, I was ready to say goodbye to 2018.  I am looking forward to a fresh start in 2019!

For Christmas dinner my family dress code is causal in comparison to Christmas Eve. I decided to wear my American Eagle jeans with a Forever21 emerald green body suit. The jacket is old Forever21 and my boots are Marc Fisher (so comfortable!)

For New Years Eve, I literally went onto ASOS website and typed in Midi Velvet dress. I was really feeling the velvet this holiday season! This hot pink dress popped up and it was exactly what I was looking for. It had a little bit of stretch to it, and I was super comfortable in it all night long. I recommend this dress if you have a special occasion coming up! Asos can be very overwhelming. I always type in what type of dress I am looking for and sort from low to high price. They are always marking things way down. This dress was only 24.00!

I feel like Fall is just around the corner (good for people like me who are obsessed) and so I’m trying to wear my last favorite summer items while I still can!

I hate that this skirt is striped again 🙈 but I just really was feeling that trend, sorry! It was really well made item from Forever21, along with the off the shoulder body suit also from there.

My favorite part of this outfit are the shoes. They are from Target’s A New Day line. I just lucked out that the exact color of purple was also in my skirt! These have a low heel which is nice for a tall girl like me. 😅

What I wore: Chicago

My husband and I took a trip to Chicago last week. It ended up being cold and rainy most of the time so a lot of things I packed I couldn’t wear! Or I could have but would have been freezing! 😂

When we have a travel day I always wear leggings and sneakers with a sweater or jacket. It’s comfy and you can easily make it look cute! Glad this was comfortable considering we got stuck at the airport for 8 hours this day!

I have been obsessed with the colorful striped trend that’s been happening lately! It just makes me happy! 😊

This skirt I found from Target with an off the shoulder body suit from Forever21. I belted it with an old aqua/khaki belt bc the skirt was a little big on me.

This was such a comfy date night outfit and so affordable. I have a ton of striped dresses and skirts to show you guys all super affordable!

Fashion emergency! NYE dress switch up!

New Years Eve is the perfect excuse to look extra fancy for a night out! I purchased this beautiful red midi dress from ASOS on sale and loved it! The problem is as I was cleaning up some of the kitchen before we were to depart I got stains on it! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Before I show you what I had to switch into let me tell you this dress is amazing! It’s it’s warm and comfortable and very flattering. I did have to use tape to tape down the top so nothing would show. This dress also comes in black on the ASOS website. I will be saving this for Valentine’s Day!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t leave the house with my dress such a mess so I switched into a back up outfit. It was a crop top from Windsor and the skirt was a bandage skirt from Forever21.

I definitely preferred the red dress but above was fine, too. I was a little chillier than before that’s for sure!

Anyway, I started out 2018 with a fashion emergency so my lesson to you is, always have a back up plan! 😆

Happy 2018! Going forward I plan on starting an Instagram page specifically for outfits and get in the habit of taking more professional photos more often.
