A day in LA

My husband and I had one day to spend in LA before we headed to Hawaii. We definitely had to check out where all my Bravo shows take place, shop a little and eat! It was actually rainy and cold the day we visited so even though I had a dress planned to wear during the day I ended up in AE jeans, Marc Fisher boots and a Nordstrom leather jacket! My bodysuit is from Forever21. Sunglasses are from Target!

We had a great lunch at Villa Blanca and explored West Hollywood and Beverly Hills! Up next was dinner at Sur!

This dress is from Asos, on sale and fits true to size. I had to wear my jacket and paired it with my Nine West wedges.

Black Tie Optional

I’m so excited for the next few posts! We have some sort of black tie or formal event to attend the next three weekends. I am wearing an old dress, a new dress and a rented dress these next few weeks! This invitation was black tie optional, I decided to wear a cocktail dress that I already owned.

The dress is very special bc I wore this to my rehearsal dinner during my wedding weekend. I have never worn it again until now! I wore this at 27, and at 35 it did feel a little short for my comfort zone now, but I could still zip it up after three kids so that’s a plus! The dress is from Nordstrom and the brand is Adrianna Papell.

In a sea of black dresses it’s fun to stand out in a different color. This dress is easy to wear (besides the length) and very comfortable! I wore it with the same shoes I wore to my rehearsal dinner all those years ago..from Marshall’s of course!
