I decided to put together a quick look book for spring. All the outfits are affordable!
I did this with help from my 5 & 7 year old and my iPhone, so it’s not the most professional but I tried! Bonus points if you can spot my husband in the background! 😂🙈

Below are two outfits I’ve worn, with the same black tights and maroon booties from Old Navy.
First is from Thanksgiving Day.

Everything is from Forever21 but the tights and shoes! Super warm and comfortable to wear. I love black tights in the winter, they keep you from freezing but you can still wear cute skirts. The jacket is a tuxedo style jacket that I have had forever21 and never ever wear! I recommend picking one up to throw over dressier outfits when you want to stay warm.
This next outfit was for a holiday party in our neighborhood. It isn’t a super dressy occasion but you wouldn’t want to wear jeans either! I have his plaid shirt dress from TJ Maxx with the same tights and Old Navy booties. Super easy to wear!

I finally purchased a jean skirt from Target and I have really enjoyed styling it! This evening I went out with some friends. I paired the skirt with a buffalo check blouse from Target and some back booties from Old Navy.
As much as I like how versatile the skirt is, this particular one does seem to ride up and I’m constantly pulling it down. I think next summer I’ll invest in a better quality one!
We went to Colorado and the trip was so crazy I didn’t get very many pictures of outfits worn. So I’m going to take some photos and re-create those outfits to share with you all next post!

My husband and I took a trip to Chicago last week. It ended up being cold and rainy most of the time so a lot of things I packed I couldn’t wear! Or I could have but would have been freezing! 😂
When we have a travel day I always wear leggings and sneakers with a sweater or jacket. It’s comfy and you can easily make it look cute! Glad this was comfortable considering we got stuck at the airport for 8 hours this day!

Next up what I wore during the days pretty much consisted of a body suit, jacket and jeans. It was dreary and felt more like Fall and less like June! Which is ok by me 🙂

The first night we had a lovely dinner with the people who hosted my husbands conference. This dress is my favorite dress I own from ASOS!

Last! We finally saw Hamilton! It was a wonderful show and we had a delicious dinner after.

I’m sure a lot of you have seen this Target jumpsuit in their stores or online ads. I didn’t think it would actually fit me properly since I’m so tall, but it did! So if you’re tall like me, don’t be scared!
This was so comfortable and easy to wear. I believe it was under 40.00 dollars. This might be my favorite Target find in the history of Target finds! My shoes are Old Navy-in stores now! I feel like everyone needs to own this jumpsuit! Well done Target!

Finally! Spring has arrived in the area I live in! I can’t wait to wear more dresses again and bright colors. In the meantime here are a few outfits from last week as we transitioned from Winter to Spring.

All of these looks are layered so that I’m warm when it’s cold in the morning but can take my jacket/vest off in the afternoon as it heats up!

I found this cool NASA shirt at Target the other day. I bought it in an XL so I can tie it up and not worry about it shrinking. I love the colors in this shirt, the material and the price!
I paired it with an oversized (again 😉) striped Old Navy sweater cardigan and my Sorel boots! This Old Navy sweater is in stores right now. I got it 20 percent off on a sale day. I wear it ALL the time. If you don’t know what to wear, wear stripes and you’ll feel like you tried! The Sorel boots were also on sale at 6pm.com. Always, check 6pm.com for great sales on boots and shoes. They sometimes lack inventory when it comes to sizes but it never hurts to check!

My husband and I went out for a birthday party and it was freezing out! I wanted to try out these new Vince Camuto boots I got for sale at Nordstrom.
These are very comfortable and extremely well made. Once again these are supposed to be over the knee but I’m so tall they are at my knees! 😂
I paired them with my American Eagle black jeans and an Old Navy button down shirt. Super simple outfit but the boots make it A bit dressier for a night out. I can’t wait to wear them again!

I grabbed this dress from Forever21 a month or so ago bc it looked easy to wear. Well, it was! I was hosting a holiday party and needed to look nice, but needed to be able to work in the kitchen.
This gray knit dress was perfect. I loved he length, the high collar and the way it fit me. I paired this with my Old Navy booties and was ready to welcome our friends and family!
This type of dress can be worn dressier or more casual which makes it a great piece to have in your closet!
I have seen similar dresses at HM. Definitely snag these types if you see them!

Still absolutely in love with this leather jacket from Nordstrom Rack! I’ve also seen this online at TJ Maxx!
I wore this jacket with a knit gray dress from Forever21 and my Old Navy booties for a night out with my husband and some friends. Super easy to wear and very comfy!
