Spring is here!

Finally! Spring has arrived in the area I live in! I can’t wait to wear more dresses again and bright colors. In the meantime here are a few outfits from last week as we transitioned from Winter to Spring.

All of these looks are layered so that I’m warm when it’s cold in the morning but can take my jacket/vest off in the afternoon as it heats up!

Next up, I wore a couple of dresses this weekend I’ll be posting on here soon!

Fall Birthday Party

I wore this outfit for my father in laws 89th birthday party we hosted! 🎉🙌🏻

I forgot I owned this shirt but I really liked how it was more formal than a normal flannel and so easy to wear!

Paired with my Toms booties (highly recommend these if you’re on your feet all day) and my go to AE high waisted jeans! It has a 70s vibe to it I’m digging!

Shirt- Old from TJ Maxx

Necklace- Forever21

I’m writing this on Halloween night so I hope everyone had a great and safe evening!

Open Houses 🏡

So a big passion of mine and my husband’s is real estate. In fact, I think that’s one of the earliest subjects we bonded over on our first date. We love older homes and we have poured our blood, sweat and tears into our current home which is very special to us.

We love looking at other homes on the market to get ideas and just for fun! Today we went to the Parade of Homes in our city. We actually didn’t have the kids today, so I wore booties and all black. The boots were not that great of an idea bc at each home we had to take our shoes off. This required a lot of work for me each time. Lesson learned for next year! IMG_0452

My husband wanted to know why you can’t see my face in any of my photos. It was never intentional, just focusing on the outfits! Anyway, here you go!

When you don’t know what to wear-all black is always in style! These pants are a little baggy and I’m not as big of a fan of these particular ones from American eagle. Anything that “bags out” really annoys me, and these don’t seem to hold their shape as well as other pants I own. I still plan on keeping them for days when I just want to be comfortable and don’t need jeans that are super tight! The jersey mossimo shirts from Target are my absolute favorite t-shirts. I can’t seem to find them anymore, but if they ever come back I’ll be sure to stock up!

Saturday Housewarming 🏡

Today was a cloudy and cool Saturday in April. I’m dressed like it’s fall, but plaid is always in season to me! We were heading to a friends housewarming party and since I had all three by myself I kept it pretty low key. A different pair of distressed jeans, plaid shirt and tan booties. If I had my husbands help, I might have dressed up a little more. However, I did spend the majority of the time chasing around my 17 month old, feeding my 3 year old snack after snack and walking through mud and dirt to get to my 5 year old. So, the outfit held up just fine!

Here I am trying not to capture my 3 year old holding her pull up next to me in the pic

Tip: to add just a bit of fancy to an otherwise casual outfit, throw on booties or anything heeled. It will add just a bit more of a dressed up feel that you wouldn’t get with flats.
